As Founder and President of the Turkish Burn and Fire Disaster Society (TYAD), and the Middle East Burn and Fire Disaster Society (MEBFDS), it is my great honor and privilege to welcome you to the Recent Advances in Surgery and Burns Meeting, which will be held on October 12-13, 2023, in Ankara, Turkey.

Millions of people burn every year and all suffer; some of them die and many are permanently disfigured. As physicians, we are trying to provide reasonably effective care to patients. Through this meeting, we are planning scientific and educational programs that will address a variety of cutting-edge issues and significant advances made in the field of burn and surgery with specific emphasis on current problems.

The Meeting venue will be Patalya Thermal Resort Hotel located at the Kizilcahamam district of Ankara, Turkey. Even though we would like to welcome you to Ankara in person, we would be equally pleased to meet you online and exchange ideas.
